Won't start.

I've installed and reinstalled the app four times now and read the tips and still cannot get the app to start. It acts like it wants to go but never launches or if it does, it doesn't want to show itself on my screen. The best I've been able to do is ctrl,alt,del out and it shows a black screen with command buttons where I'd expect them if it was open, but they're locked out. Has anybody had this issue too?
